Do I have to do anything before the maid arrives?
In order for the maids to do their job, we ask that you pick up clothing, toys and other household items. The maids will not know where your personal items belong and we prefer that the maid not go into your closets or drawers to put things away. This includes leaving your dishwasher empty so dirty dishes can be placed into it. If you wish bed linens to be changed, please leave a clean set placed upon the bed for the maid to make the bed with.
 
What if my cleaning is scheduled on a holiday?
We will contact you to reschedule your appointment.
 
What if I need to reschedule an appointment?
Please call our office at least 24 hours in advance to reschedule your cleaning. There is a $35 fee if you cancel your appointment under 24 hours. There is also a $35 fee if we arrive to your home and can not get inside due to no fault of ours.
 
What is your cancellation policy?
We have a 24 Hour cancellation policy. There is a $35 fee if you cancel your appointment under 24 hours. There is also a $35 fee if we arrive to your home and you cancel your appointment.
 
How should I pay for the service if I am not at home?
You can pay for our cleaning services with cash, check, and all major credit/debit cards. If you are not going to be at home when we arrive, please leave cash or a check or made payable to :Little Green Maid Services on the kitchen counter.
 
Do you send teams of people to clean my house?
Yes, under normal circumstances we will send two thoroughly trained maids to clean your home. If it is an unusually large job, we may send more than two maids.
 
Do you send the same person every time my home is cleaned?
We do our very best to send the same team. When there is scheduled vacation or an employee calls off we will try to send at least one of the same employees to your home for every cleaning. All of the maids provide the same consistent service to every customer, so you should feel like you are receiving the same quality service no matter who the maid is. However, if you would like to make a change, please do not hesitate to ask.
 
Do we have to sign a contract?
No, there are no complicated contracts. The only thing we ask is, if you must cancel a regularly scheduled appointment, that you do it at least 24 hours in advance. Our maids are paid for each home they clean - a cancellation without enough notice to reschedule another
appointment directly affects the maids income.
 
Do you supply the cleaning supplies or do we?
Because the products we use must meet our Eco-friendly criteria, we provide the necessary cleaning products when we come to your home. This is more economical for you, plus the added advantage of our clients not needing to purchase cleaning products that could be dangerous for them and their families.

How do you get into my house if I am not at home?
Most of our customers are not at home when we come to clean. We will make personal and confidential arrangements with you on how to gain access to the house. If we are unable to gain access to your house for a regularly scheduled cleaning, we must charge you a fee of $35 to compensate the maids for theirloss of time and driving expenses.
 
Do you check the backgrounds of your maids?
Yes we do, in fact we will not even consider the recruitment of a new maid unless they have a minimum of four verifiable references and a stable previous work history. House cleaners must be bondable, which means no felony convictions. We also perform random drug testing.
